Healthy Life Health and Wellness Coaching

Hi everyone! How's your April coming along?

It's been a great start to the month for me and my clan. The warm weather is finally making more appearances — thank goodness! Easter was a ton of fun. The whole family came over, we played Rook — an old card game, and family tradition — and I will honestly be eating ham-related recipes for the next two weeks. No complaints here.
Afterward, I took two full days off and it was so good that I think I'm making it a regular thing — at least every couple of weeks.

Big things are happening this month! Right on the heels of my favorite nephew's wedding — yes, he's my only nephew, but still — I'll be heading to Portugal to walk the Camino de Santiago on a pilgrimage with a group of about ten people. It's a bucket list trip and I am finally, fully excited about it. I spent a good while just trying to get everything squared away before I left, and now that it's done, I can actually look forward to it!

Here's the best part — I don't know much about what's going to happen, and I kind of love it that way. I know when I'm getting on the plane and I know when I'm coming back. Everything in between is a mystery — and you can expect to hear all about it in May's newsletter!

With grace and love,
Amy

Start in Stillness, Grow in Strength

This month at Healthy Life Health and Wellness Coaching, we've been talking about spirituality — and there's a little snippet below to get you started. You can also tune in to this month's podcasts for the full conversation!

Spirituality IS the magic ingredient of behavioral change — and it's often the piece that's missing. Tapping into spirituality takes practice, but when you do, it creates a way to forgive the past and move forward, to try and fail and try again, and to see yourself and others as worthy of new possibilities.

This month's photo comes from my front yard — my favorite spot. Every morning I come here with my coffee, settle into the swing, and get connected. The birds, the ducks gliding into the pond, the flowering trees and bushes, the Spiritual stillness — this is where I tap into who I really want to be for the day. Some days it's hard to hold onto that feeling once life gets going, and that's okay. I still find so much value in starting here — with my swing, my coffee, my dog, and the sunrise.

How do you tap into your stillness?
