What a wonderful, celebration-filled 30 days it has been!
 
This last month started with my nephew's wedding and ended with my daughter's college graduation — with a 12-day spiritual pilgrimage in the middle! Watching Christopher WALK up the aisle and then Maggie WALK across the stage all wrapped around my 100 mile WALK to Santiago had me in the feels!
The only way I can describe it is… EVERYTHING BAGEL 😂. A lot of emotions, comings and goings, work and rest and play — seemingly disjointed flavors that when mixed together become, well, EVERYTHING! I'm still pulling apart this big smoked butt — as I shred it into smaller portions, I'll continue to share my lessons and thoughts on the social media pages.

Here's what all of those disjointed "fla-vahs" actually taught me — maybe one will land for you, too!
 
5 Lessons from MAY
 
1 ~ Block generous amounts of time on either end of travel! Giving yourself a buffer before vacation to let go of your to-do list and work mode — and a block of time to re-enter scheduled life after you return — protects the relaxation that happens in between!!!
 
2 ~ Never underestimate the healing power of time spent in NATURE.
 
3 ~ You can pee anywhere if you have to pee badly enough.
 
4 ~ Personal growth doesn't only happen when we are peeling back deep layers, reflecting hard, and super focused. Even though what we normally think of as the "work" of growth is a requirement for real change, REST AND PLAY are INTEGRAL to continued healing and transformation. Many of us — me! 🙋🏽♀️ — are willing to dive deep and work hard but skip out on rest and play. Big mistake. Big. HUGE!!
 
5 ~ EVERYONE should read How to Talk So Kids Will Listen and Listen So Kids Will Talk. Just finished book club with this one and we all decided that these tools apply to ALL relationships with every person in our lives.
